Requirements for Managers and Coaches

One of CPLL’s most important goals is to ensure the safety of the children who participate. We do this by requiring ALL prospective coaches and managers to be “certified” before they step on to the field to participate in CPLL-sponsored games and practices.

The following requirements apply to ALL persons who wish to be considered as a coach or manager for the upcoming CPLL Baseball and Softball season:  

  • Complete the Little League Volunteer Application and provide a copy of valid driver’s license and Social Security number. The application is available HERE.  Print it out and along with a copy of your driver's license. You can either mail it (CPLL PO Box 664 Plainsboro NJ 08536) or bring it to the Coaches/Managers meeting (see below). 
  • Attend the Coaches/Manager meeting, which includes First Aid training, scheduled for April 10th in the Plainsboro Municipal Building (Meeting Room A & B) from 7-8:30pm.
  • Complete the online course about concussions in youth sports. Please save/print a .pdf proving you completed the course and email it to Brian Keegan, our league's safety officer.

First Aid training is usually conducted by the Plainsboro Rescue Squad. Topics covered include basic first aid, emergencies, injury prevention, use of the AED, and concussions.  Questions? Email  [email protected]


Please note: Little League requires that each team send a coach to represent their team at the First Aid training.  Every CPLL coach or manager must attend a session at least once every three years.  First Aid training is 
mandatory for all new coaches and managers.
